Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, and social psychiatry, as well as individual and family care.

To create a good working environment and provide our clients with high-quality care, we are now strengthening staffing with more care assistants in several of the municipality's special accommodations. Below is a brief description of the operations looking for you:

• Löderupsgården, the accommodation with everything for our elderly located about 20 km outside Ystad; focusing on somatic needs, cognitive disorders, respite care, and short-term placements. In scenic surroundings, we work to ensure that our elderly feel comfortable in a home-like environment where joy and laughter are a natural part of everyday life.
• Solbacken is a special accommodation in scenic Stora Herrestad. The accommodation is divided into two units – one focusing on cognitive disorders and one on somatic disabilities. Here we work person-centered and salutogenic to create a meaningful everyday life in an environment characterized by joy and community.
• Väderleksvägen is located in Västra Sjöstaden, spread over two floors and four living units. Three units focus on somatic disabilities and one on cognitive disorders. Common to all is that we work together to create a safe and meaningful everyday life for the residents.
• Ljuskällan focuses on both cognitive disorders and somatic departments. There is also a short-term unit. The accommodation is centrally located, close to the center, and offers beautiful outdoor environments and a cozy atmosphere. We work as a team, spreading warmth and knowledge to create safety and comfort for our residents.
• Bellevue is a broad unit located centrally in Ystad. We offer security and care with high competence in our areas: Somatic disabilities, Cognitive disorders, and Psychiatric disabilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for you who want to help strengthen staffing in one of our special accommodations. You will contribute to a good working environment and improve the quality of care for our clients. Together with dedicated teams, you will have the opportunity to create safety, comfort, and development for people with different needs.

As a care assistant with us, your tasks may include:

• Providing care and support to clients with somatic needs and cognitive disorders.
• Assisting with personal care, service tasks, and social support.
• Performing delegated health and medical tasks.
• Creating safety and continuity through good communication.
• Documenting interventions according to applicable routines and legislation.
• Collaborating with colleagues, nurses, and other professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a professional approach and feels secure in their role. You are responsible, proactive, and enjoy working together with others in an engaged team. You find it easy to build good relationships and have a genuine interest in people, their needs, and well-being.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

To qualify for the position, you must:

• Be a trained care assistant with a protected professional title.
• Since communication and documentation are central and important parts of the work, good knowledge of the Swedish language, both verbally and in writing, is required.

Meritorious is:

• Experience in care work, preferably with a focus on cognitive disorders.
• B driver's license.
